Delhi has a lot to offer to its food enthusiasts and the same can be seen from her rich street food, casual restaurants and fine dining options!
One such place that strikes a chord with me is the Olive Kitchen and Bar known as an Italian specialty restaurant.
Visiting Olive Bar and kitchen has been over due in my calendar for a long time! Somehow it always got skipped when its turn came for I picked another place to go. However, Olive broke the jinx a while back and I’m glad it did!
The restaurant has a two slot seating for dinner: one for 8 p.m. and the other for 10 p.m. and Qutub Minar is its nearest landmark.
The big banyan tree with its aerial roots, the wicker chairs, candle lit outdoor seating: one can easily transcend into a different time. The restaurant also has an indoor seating as well. The staff there is knowledgeable about the menu served and can recommend you well.
Of the food ordered, I enjoyed their herb salad a lot. Special mention needs to be made for the mocktail made on the lines of a mojito spiced with green chillies. Take a sip from this drink and you will definitely get a kick of chillies which will jump start your senses.
Along with the food ordered, I also enjoyed their freshly baked bread and a herbed, oniony, tomatoes spiced olive oil. I could have easily filled up on the bread and the olive olive oil concoction.
Try out Olive and you will go back with nothing but a pleasant experience!
