Let’s face it; banana as a fruit has not had its share of the fame it deserves. Its high in nutrition but somehow it doesn’t go well with a lot of kids and grown ups. People feel strongly about bananas: they either love it for hate it, there is just no other way.
However the sweet and tangy raspberries are loved by all. Their royal pink colour, crunchy texture and youthful smell just makes you want to gorge on them endlessly.
Here is a recipe that unities the goodness of the two fruits to give you a hearty breakfast smoothie. Banana Raspberry Smoothie
- 1 small banana
- 4 tbsp Raspberry Coulis
- 200 ml skimmed milk
- 2 ice cubes, optional
In a blender churn all the ingredients till they are smooth and creamy. Check for the sweetness and add sugar or additional coulis (if you want a stronger taste of raspberry). Serve in a tall glass.
